Close Matches Up and Down the Draws on Friday

No. 2 seed Ashley Harkleroad of the United States survived a grueling three set match against No. 5 seed Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-4.
No. 6 seed Ahsha Rolle of the United States also won a three setter over Kristina Brandi of Puerto Rico by scores of 2-6, 7-6(3), 6-3.
No. 3 seed Milagros Sequera of Venezuela and No. 7 seed Clarisa Fernandez of Argentina will face each other as they both advanced into the semifinals.
Saturday's doubles championship will feature the No. 4 seed team of Chanelle Scheepers and Neha Uberoi squaring off against Leanne Baker and Nicole Kriz.
Saturday's action will kick off at the Lunsford Tennis Complex at 10 a.m. with a double header of semifinal action followed by the doubles championship match.
