Nashville, Tenn. - The Troy University men's tennis finished their Atlantic Sun season with a perfect 4-0 record after topping Belmont 7-0 on Wednesday. The Trojans are 6-8 overall.
The Trojans earned the doubles point with wins from Irving Morales and Daniel Quiceno at the No. 1 position and Emir Basic and Marko Despot in the No. 2 spot. Troy swept singles play with all six Trojans winning in straight sets.
"Today we came out with incredible intensity and played our best match of the year," said Troy head coach Eric Hayes. "This is what we need going into the tournament."
The Trojans are the only team to finish with a spotless A-Sun record this season. Troy plays at in-state foe Birmingham-Southern on Saturday in its final regular-season match of the year.
