Head Coach Melanie Davis was pleased with the win, but is still concerned with the lack of production from the offense.
I'm glad our kids found a way to win today,” said Davis. Offensively I'm a little disappointed because we should be a much better hitting team.”

Junior Paige foster dropped a single to centerfield to score Sophomore Tara Blackwell in the bottom of the second. After two innings the Lady Trojans held a 2-0 lead over the Lady Jaguars.

Southern then loaded the bases in the top of the fourth but the threat was ended when Sophomore Laine Harcourt struck out Southern's Natasha Jackson. After four innings the Lady Trojans held a 2-1 lead.
