Trojans Eliminated from ITA Regional Tournament

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Troy University junior Iriving Morales lost in his singles match, and the team of Morales and Marko Despot were defeated in double play on Saturday, eliminating them from the ITA Southeast Regional Tournament. Morales fell to top-seeded Greg Ouellette of Florida in the round of 32, 6-2, 6-3. Morales and Ouellette met once again in double play, with Morales paired with Despot and Ouellette paired with Janne Holmia. The Trojans led the Gator team 7-4, but lost their lead and eventually succumbed, 9-7. This is an unacceptable loss,” Troy head coach Eric Hayes said. We came out strong, but then we quit playing to win, we started playing not to lose. We won't win matches that way.”
