McVeigh finishes eighth at UA-Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate

McVeigh carded a final-round 76 on Tuesday to bring her 36-hole total to 150, six-over-par and seven shots behind medalist Megan George of host Alabama. McVeigh shot a 74 in Monday's first round to place her in a second-place tie before the final round of the 77-player tournament.
The Trojans improved their team score by 14 shots with a 315 on Tuesday, helping them to hold on to 11th place overall in the 14-team field. Tulane turned in team scores of 298 on each day to claim the team title with a two-day score of 596. Mississippi State (605), Alabama (615), Ole Miss (619) and Murray State (624) rounded out the top five.
Individually for the Trojans, Vicki Power (85-78-163) finished in a tie for 46th, Katelyn Crosson (87-78-165) tied for 54th, Stephanie Perez (85-83-168) tied for 60th and Emily Parker (85-84-169) finished in a tie for 62nd.
