TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team hits the road this weekend for a pair of matches against in-state foes, with the Trojans traveling to Jacksonville State on Saturday and North Alabama on Sunday.
Troy (7-1) is coming off a pair of victories over Alcorn State last week to run its record to a perfect 5-0 at home this season.
Mario Martinez Serrano (8-0), Yeray Andres Pastor (6-0) and Nicolas Simkin (3-0) remain undefeated on the year in singles to lead Troy to an .841 winning percentage in dual match singles so far this spring. Noah Martens is 6-1 on the spring and moved into the No. 2 slot last week against Alcorn State and came away with a victory.
Jacksonville State (3-3) enters the match fresh off a 4-0 win over Incarnate Word last weekend and the Gamecocks' three losses have come to Baylor, Alabama and Florida State. North Alabama (3-3) hosts North Dakota on Saturday ahead of the match with Troy and the Lions are riding a three-match winning streak.
