Will Choloh Named to PFF National Team of the Week

TROY, Ala. – Coming off a historic game against Liberty, Troy junior defensive tackle Will Choloh was named to the Pro Football Focus National Team of the Week. Choloh recorded eight tackles, 2.5 sacks and four tackles for loss against the Flames on Saturday.

Choloh became just the third Troy player since 2000 to record at least 2.5 sacks, eight tackles and four tackles for loss in a single game. Additionally, he is just the fourth player nationally since the start of the 2019 season to do so and fourth in the Sun Belt since 2011. His four tackles for loss are tied for the second-most in a game nationally this season, and the 2.5 sacks are the 10th most.

The Lawrenceville, Ga., native earned an 88.5 grade from PFF for his effort against Liberty which also included a quarterback hurry. Last season, Choloh finished third nationally among interior defensive linemen with a 90.3 pass rushing grade from PFF, while his 31 pressures were the fourth most nationally. Through two games, Choloh has five tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

Troy hits the road for the first time this season as the Trojans travel to Southern Miss for a non-conference matchup on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m., and ESPN+ will broadcast the game.
