Hamm Leads Troy on Day One of National Intercollegiate

GREENSBORO, Ga. – Troy is off to its best 36-hole start of the season following Monday's two rounds of the National Intercollegiate at the Reynolds Lake Oconee National Course. The Trojans shot a 2-over 578 on Monday and sit tied for fourth place with 18 holes to play.
Brent Hamm shot 5-under on the day, Troy's best 36-hole score by an individual this season, and sits in fourth place following rounds of 3-under 69 and 2-under 70. He finished the day with nine birdies, which are tied for the fifth most in the field, while Will McFadden, Ryan Morrison and George Burch all carded six birdies on the day.
McFadden is tied for 16th place after shooting a 1-under 71 in the second round, which jumped his standing 13 spots on the leaderboard thanks to five birdies. Ryan Morrison also made a second-round move as he climbed five spots into a tie for 24th place at 3-over following rounds of 74 and 73.
UT Martin has a 12-shot lead over both Mercer and North Alabama while Troy and Belmont are tied for fourth place 17 shots off the pace.
Nicklas Borrmann is tied for 31st place at 4-over par, while George Burch is tied for 40th place at 6-over and Reagan Harrell is tied for 54th place at 8-over.
Troy will play Tuesday's final round with Kennesaw State and Belmont beginning at 8:45 a.m. off the first tee.
