Men's Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team and Scholar-Athlete Honors

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team has been named an ITA All-Academic Team while eight Trojans earned ITA Scholar Athlete honors, the national organization announced on Monday. This marks the second-consecutive year that Troy has been named an ITA All-Academic Team.

To be eligible for the ITA Scholar-Athlete award, athletes must be a varsity letter winner with at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year while teams must have at least a 3.2 GPA for All-Academic Team honors.

"I am very proud of the academic aspect we have been able to embrace within the team. It speaks a lot about their commitment to the success in the classroom. That discipline and hard work directly correlate on the court as well. Having eight members on the team, which is the most in the conference, speaks volumes of what we were able to accomplish."
