TROY, Ala. – Troy's season opener against Boise State in the newly renovated Veterans Memorial Stadium is set for a 5 p.m. kickoff on ESPNews, the Sun Belt Conference and ESPN announced Thursday afternoon. Additionally, kick times were set for four other Troy games.
Â
The highly-anticipated matchup between the Trojans and Broncos will draw the national spotlight for the second straight season after last year's game was televised on ESPNU. Both teams are coming off 11-win seasons, bowl victories and conference titles.
Â
Additionally, Troy's home game against Florida A&M on Sept. 8 is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+ and a Thursday ESPNU contest against Georgia State on Oct. 4 has been slated for a 6:30 p.m. kick in The Vet.
Â
Troy's road opener at Nebraska on Saturday, Sept. 15, is scheduled for an 11 a.m. kick and will be televised on the Big Ten Network. "The Battle for the Belt" at South Alabama on Tuesday, Oct. 23, will air on ESPN2 from Ladd-Peebles Stadium with a 7 p.m. kick time.
Â
The Trojans set a school FBS record with 11 wins en route to their sixth Sun Belt Conference championship and a New Orleans Bowl title in 2017. Troy's 21 victories over the past two seasons are the eighth most in the country and the Trojans will carry the nation's fourth-longest active winning streak of seven games into the opener against Boise State.
Â
Season ticket packages start as low as $60 and all ticket prices are identical to those from 2017. Troy plays host to six home games during the 2018 campaign, including visits from Boise State, Georgia State and Louisiana. The priority deadline for fans to purchase or renew their 2018 season tickets is June 1.
