Troy Accepting Applications for Public Address (WBB, SB) & Women’s Basketball Radio Announcers

TROY, Ala. – The Troy Athletics Department is holding open auditions to serve as the public address announcer for the Troy women's basketball and softball programs. Additionally, Troy Athletics is holding auditions to be the voice of Troy women's basketball on the radio. The deadline for applications is Friday, Oct. 26.
The PA announcer(s) will serve as the main voice of Troy women's basketball in Trojan Arena and Troy softball at the Troy Softball Complex for the 2018-19 season. The role will include introducing starting lineups, in-game action and other in-venue announcements.
PA ANNOUNCER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge and passion for the selected sport
- Must know the rules of the game
- A strong voice that will engage fans
- Public speaking skills
- Available to work ALL home games for the selected sport
The women's basketball radio announcer will serve as the "Voice of the Trojans" for all home and road radio and online broadcasts.
RADIO BROADCASTER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge and passion for Troy women's basketball
- Must know the rules of the game
- A strong voice that will engage fans
- Available to work ALL home and road women's basketball games
- Ability to setup and care for radio broadcast equipment
