Vannoy Leads Pair of Trojans at Savannah Quarters Individual Intercollegiate

POOLER, Georgia – Troy sophomore Clayton Vannoy carded the lowest round of the day at the Savannah Quarters Individual Intercollegiate as he fired a 3-under 69 during Tuesday's final round. Vannoy finished at 4-under for the tournament and took third place in the field of 51 golfers.
Vannoy entered the final round in a tie for seventh place after shooting a 1-under over two rounds Monday. He opened his tournament with a round of even par before shooting a 1-under in the second round.
Senior Wil Clowdus maintained his position on the leaderboard Tuesday and finished in a tie for 21st with South Carolina's Keenan Huskey. Clowdus shot matching 74s in the opening two rounds Monday and finished 6-over in Tuesday's final round.
Troy opens its spring campaign Feb. 20-22 at the Bayou City Classic in Humble, Texas. The Trojans enter the spring season ranked 42nd nationally by Birdie Fire, 55th by GolfStat and 56th by Golfweek.
