Troy Concludes Play at ITA Regional

AUBURN, Alabama – The Troy women's tennis team concluded play on Sunday at the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships with three different Trojans competing in consolation draws.
In doubles main draw consolation, Jiayuan Xue and Efriliya Herlina fell to a duo from Mississippi State, 8-3, in the semifinals.
Herlina was also in action in the main draw singles consolation bracket where she fell to Ole Miss' Aliie Sanford, 6-2, 7-5, in the quarterfinals. Sanford went on to advance to the final.
On the opposite side of the consolation bracket, Troy's Sane Ohta lost a three-set match to Louisiana Tech's Jazmin Britos, 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (6). Britos also went on to advance to the final.
Next up for the Trojans is the Big Easy Tennis Classic, which begins on Friday in New Orleans.
