Troy University Sports Hall of Fame Nomination Deadline is October 15

TROY, Ala. – The nomination deadline for the Troy University Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2015 is Wednesday, October 15. Nominations can be submitted by coaches, members of the Hall of Fame Board of Advisors and the general public.
Nominations for the Troy University Sports Hall of Fame can be submitted online by clicking here; to submit additional information about a candidate or for any questions e-mail halloffame@troy.edu.
Nominees for the Troy University Sports Hall of Fame must fall into one of four categories – student-athlete, coach, administrator or vintage. All candidates for inclusion in the Troy University Sports Hall of Fame must have exhibited several characteristics, including – good moral and ethical character, outstanding leadership qualities, high quality citizenship, have demonstrated a level of achievement or service that stands out from the ordinary and have achieved honors and recognition that has been a credit to the nominee as well as Troy University.
The Troy University Sports Hall of Fame Board of Advisors is made up of community leaders from each of Alabama's seven Congressional districts, as well as from the cities of Troy, Montgomery, Dothan and Phenix City. In addition, the Board will include a representative from the Alabama Sports Writers Association as well as from the state's electronic media. One member of the Board will be an active sports official and another will come from the Board of Directors of the National Alumni Association. Finally, three at-large members will be included on the Board.
