Trojans Ready to Hit Practice Field

After two days of meetings and pictures, the Troy University football team will finally get a chance to hit the practice field on Thursday morning.

The five-time defending Sun Belt Conference champions will open camp at 8:30 a.m. to start 12 days of training camp, which will include two days of two-a-day practices, before the start of the fall semester on August 17.

The Trojans are scheduled to be on the practice field until 11 a.m. and will then have position and special teams meetings during the afternoon.

The Trojans will go through the standard NCAA mandated acclimation process with three days in shorts before getting into full pads by Sunday. The team is scheduled to have a scrimmage on Saturday, August 13, at 10:30 a.m.

All Troy practices are open to the public.
