Von Pingel Earns All-Tournament Honors at War Eagle Invitational

The sophomore recorded 29 kills in three matches, including 12 against Georgia Southern

AUBURN, Ala. - Troy University sophomore Devin Von Pingle was recently named to the War Eagle Invitational All-Tournament Team for her efforts in the weekend tournament.

The sophomore recorded a career-high .529 attack percentage against UT-Martin on Saturday in the final match of the tournament for Troy. In that match, she recorded 11 kills with just two errors. In the first match on Saturday, Von Pingel recorded a season-high 12 kills with three errors in a loss to Georgia Southern; also recording a season-high 25 total attack opportunities.

Von Pingle recorded 29 total kills on the weekend, including six in her first match of the season against Auburn.

The All-Tournament Team also featured Britany Wilburn of UT-Martin, Bethany Sanford of Georgia Southern, Kate Van Dyke of Auburn, Liz Crouch of Auburn, Christina Solverson of Auburn and Tournament MVP - Sarah Bullock of Auburn.

The Trojans return to action Wednesday night on the road against Samford.
