Academic Honors Continue for Trojans

Three women's squads – UALR, Arkansas State and Troy – were named ITA All-Academic Teams, as each program attained a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or above on a 4.00 scale.
Individually on the men's side, New Orleans' Jose Gaspar and Troy's Bastian Maucher earned ITA Scholar Athlete nods.
Individually on the women's side, 18 players were honored, including Arkansas State's Paula Chelminska (pictured), Emily Laing, Tina Ojdanic and Leydi Zora, along with UALR's Laetitia Bourgeon, Chantel Coolen, Nathalia Garay, Marta Gomez-Jordana, Fanny Lopez, Rebecca Van Den Houte and Anne Weijenborg. New Orleans' Cassandra Escobar, Ceara Howey, Sofija Karalic and Anita Racz were recognized, in addition to Troy's Mirte De Bakker, Rawia Elsisi and Caroline Joaunin.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least a 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
