Trojans Rained Out in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. ? Mother Nature intervened in the Troy Trojans plans to take game two of their series with UALR on Saturday, forcing postponement of game two of the weekend Sun Belt Conference series.
The Trojans, who won the opening game of the series 12-9 on Friday, will now face UALR in a double-header on Sunday at Gary Hogan Field. The first pitch for the opening game has been set for noon, with the second game set to begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the opener.
Both games will be available on WTBF-FM in Troy, with Barry McKnight and Ricky Hazel calling the action. The broadcast will start at noon with the first pitch of the first game.
The Trojans (23-13, 11-5) will be looking to build on a nine-game conference win streak when play begins on Sunday. Troy is currently two games behind league leading Western Kentucky in the race for the SBC title.
Junior Jason Walls (3-2, 3.70) will face left-hander Jake Sullivan (3-3, 5.70) in the opening game on Sunday with senior Travis Burge (3-1, 4.97) set to meet junior right-hander Anthony Pryor (1-4, 9.00) in the series finale.
Troy returns home on Tuesday for a single game against UAB and will face the Blazers in Birmingham on Wednesday. Both of those games are set for 6 p.m. starts.
