Help Send The Sound of the South to Mobile

Every time the Troy University Trojans take the field during the season, the team is supported by loyal fans who make enough noise to make almost any venue sound like Movie Gallery Veterans Stadium.
Visibly leading the audible charge for the Trojans at every game is “The Sound of the South” band.
No matter whether it is the full 300-plus member marching band, or the 80-member pep band, “The Sound” always make their support of the Trojans evident at every game.
For the GMAC Bowl, the Sound of the South needs the support of Trojan fans to make sure they can support the team on January 6.
Unlike at most games where the band is provided complimentary tickets, every person who occupies a seat at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on January 6 will have to have a paid admission. That means members of the band will either pay for their own tickets, the University will have to pick up the tab for those tickets, or Troy fans can step up and help.
The way to help send the Sound of the South to the GMAC Bowl is to purchase an extra ticket when placing your order and designate it to go to the band. Even if you can't go to the game in person, call and purchase a ticket, or a group of tickets, and donate them back to help cover the bands' needs.
The Trojans, who became the first team in Sun Belt Conference history to complete a perfect 8-0 league record, returned to the practice field today to begin preparation for their January 6 showdown with Mid-American Conference champion Central Michigan in the GMAC Bowl.
The matchup with CMU will be the only bowl game outside of the BCS to pit two conference champions. Troy has won four straight Sun Belt titles, including two consecutive outright league crowns, while CMU has won three of the last four Mid-American Conference crowns.
Tickets for the GMAC Bowl are available through the Troy University Athletics Tickets Office, located in the Davis Field House, which is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., by calling 877-878-9467. Tickets are also available online at www.TroyTrojans.com.
The priority seating deadline for tickets to the GMAC Bowl is December 18. Tickets purchased after that date will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets for the GMAC Bowl purchased through Troy are $40, which is a $5 discount over tickets available elsewhere. Student tickets are also available for just $15 through the Athletics Ticket Office. All students must present a valid student ID card to purchase tickets.
Students from Sun Belt Conference sister school South Alabama can also purchase student tickets to the game through the Troy Athletics Ticket Office for the game. They can call in and order $15 tickets by providing their student identification number.
