Deadlines -- nobody likes them. Everybody has them.
The ticket office seems to get a lot of phone calls this time of year, and that is a good thing since football season is just around the corner. I expect lots of calls and would be concerned if we weren't getting them.
However, I began to realize many of our calls centered around one question. “When is the last possible day to order tickets for away games?”
The short answer is -- it varies from game to game.
But this question got me thinking about deadlines.
We all have deadlines. Personal deadline -- such as when we need to make the house payment. Oops, might want to get on that one. Public deadline -- say you and your friend set up a time to call and set up to have lunch. And there are work related deadline -- like the ones I have here in my office.
Heck, even my UPS driver has given me a deadline (of sorts) by gently reminding me of the dates of his vacation.
Many people, however, may not know that the ticket office is given a deadline by the issuing university of away game tickets. This is a standard practice and varies from ticket office to ticket office.
This in turn causes me to set a timeline of when I need orders in to me so that I can meet the deadline that has been placed on me and my office.
So, with this in mind, I wanted to let you know of upcoming deadlines for the first few away games.
For Middle Tennessee the deadline is Friday, August 8th. For LSU, the deadline is Friday, August 15th. The
Does this mean you can not order tickets after this time? Not necessarily, if I have them, I will be more than happy to sell them. This does mean, however, that I have already processed and seated the orders for a particular game. The earlier you get your order in, the better your chances are at seating.
Oh, just a reminder. With every away game there is priority seating. The order is: first, Trojan Warrior and Season Ticket holder; second, Trojan Warrior or Season Ticket holder; and, third, general public.
Thanks,
JH
