Late Heroics Propel Troy Past UNT, 4-3

After being named Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year on Tuesday night,
The Trojans tied things in the bottom half of the seventh inning with Paige reaching on an error by Muller and coming around to score on a Johnson RBI-triple to left field.
The Mean Green got their first base runner in the top of the third inning after Williams walked Sarah Jones and after another walk, Katya Muller singled off the glove of diving
Mariza Martinez reached on a bunt single next, but Williams threw the ball over third baseman Rocky Paige's head allowing Muller to score and up the NT lead to 2-0.
Next, Courtney Davis grounded back up the middle, but Muller was able to scoop up the bounding ball and gun
Troy loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth inning but pinch-hitter Cassie Lassiter watched strike three for the final out of the inning with North Texas leading 2-0.
Lyle reached as the leadoff batter in the fifth inning and moved to second on a stolen base,
On an 0-2 pitch, Tanya McLean lofted a fly ball to leftfield that Mean Green outfielder Lauren Bergstrom was unable to hang onto with two runs scoring on the error to tie the game at two.
After Kaitlin Kenney led-off the sixth inning with a single, Lyle lined into a double play third base to first base to erase the hit. Hughes grounded out to the second baseman Rebecca Waters to end the inning.
