Trojans Return to the Diamond to Face the Ospreys

The Ospreys (9-8) are coming off a classic 5-4 win over FIU on Monday,
snapping their four-game losing streak. Junior Antonio Franzese tossed his
first career complete game and picked up the win.
Sophomore catcher Michael Gropper sealed
the win for UNF when he ended the game by throwing out an FIU base runner
trying to steal second base. Senior Chad Knight had three RBIs and a run
scored, while sophomore Preston Hale tallied the game-winning triple.
The Trojans are led by Beau Brooks
at the plate with a .429 batting average, as well as two homeruns
and 12 RBI. Lance Miller is
hitting .350 with two doubles and six runs batted in, while Bryan Miller is hitting.333 with one
homerun and a team-leading 16 RBI.
UNF lost 10-6 to Troy in the teams' only meeting, taking place in
the 1996 Kennel Club Classic in Jacksonville.
The game is scheduled for a 6 pm first pitch, and can be heard locally on WTBF-94.7 FM with Barry McKnight providing the play-by-play.
