Troy Looks to End Skid at ULM

MONROE, La. ? The Troy Trojan softball team is looking to end a two-game losing skid when they face ULM on Saturday in Monroe as the two teams get ready to play a three-game Sun Belt Conference series.

Troy (14-13, 1-2 SBC) and the Warhawks will play a double-header on Saturday with the first pitch of game one scheduled for 4 pm. Game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

The Trojans are looking to get back on the winning side of things after consecutive one-loss games to No. 10 LSU and Northwestern State.

Troy holds a 5-0 all-time lead in games with ULM(9-14, 1-2 SBC). The Trojans swept four-games with the Warhawks in 2007, including a 3-0 record in Troy and one game in a tournament hosted by Southeast Louisiana.

Senior first baseman/designated player Jessica Lyle currently paces the Trojans at the plate with a .351 batting average and a team-leading 15 RBI's. Fellow senior Courtney Davis leads the squad with six home runs.

In the circle freshman Ashlyn Williams leads the Trojans with an 11-7 record and 0.98 ERA.

Troy and ULM will play the final game of the three-game set on Sunday at 1 pm.
