While the Troy basketball team has enjoyed a short break over Christmas, we wanted to give the fans an opportunity to get to know one of the Trojans' most exciting players on a little more personal level.
FIVE MINUTES with MICHAEL VOGLER
1. Birth Date: 6/4/87
2. What is anticipated year of graduation? 2010
3. What's on TV: Sportscenter, NBA basketball, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Deal or No Deal, CSI and Family Guy
4. On my iPod: Mostly rap, but I have a little bit of everything except hard rock
5. What I drive: Black 2005 Toyota Avalon
6. Favorite Flicks: The Dark Knight, The 6th Man, Dumb and Dumber, Hitch, Super Bad
7. Worst habit: Being lazy
8. Superstitions: None
9. Love to trade places for a day with... Tiger Woods
10. First job: At a hotel
11. Favorite team as a kid: Chicago Bulls
12. Favorite athletes to watch in another sport: Tom Brady or Tiger Woods
13. Favorite value in others: Integrity and honesty
14. For dinner: Steak and mashed potatoes
15. Talent I'd most like to have: I would like to be able to talk in front of a lot of people and make a difference. I would also like to be able to sing.
16. Physical attribute I like best about myself: My eyes
17. My hero: My father
18. My greatest love: God
19. My bucket list: Play golf at pebble beach, go on a cruise and leave the country
20. My motto: Love God, family, and the people you are close to and live everyday like it's your last.
21. Why did you choose Troy University? The proximity, the coaches and I knew a few people that went to Troy already and they said liked it.
22. What are you looking forward to this season (in your sport or in school)? Well not really looking forward to school, but on the court a winning season and a conference championship
23. What do you like to do when you are not the field? Hang out with the team, sleep, eat and watch movies.
24. First impression of Coach Maestri? And what are your feelings now? Good coach, great guy and wants the best for everybody. My impressions are pretty much the same now.
25. What are you going to do after graduation? If I get a chance play pro ball, I would like to do that. If not, maybe coach, still have not really sure.
26. If you could describe your time at Troy in one word, what would it be? Busy
