Troy Falls 1-0 to FIU

MIAMI ? Despite shutting out the Golden Panthers in the second half, Troy managed just one shot in the match and fell 1-0 to FIU in Sun Belt soccer action on Sunday.
Stephanie Haley attempted the Trojans' only shot in the first half, as Troy struggled offensively in the second half.
Ashley Branham recorded double-digit stops for the fourth time in 2008 and the second consecutive game with 10 on Sunday. Her lone error allowed FIU's only goal to score off the foot of Kassondra Sorzano.
“FIU was the better team today and they deserved the win,” head coach Chris Bentley said.
The Trojans are in action next on Friday when they hit the road once more for the Louisiana road swing. Troy will visit Louisiana-Lafayette on Friday and ULM on Sunday.
