Trojans Kick Off Season at Georgia Invitational
ATHENS, Ga. --- The Troy women's tennis team will travel to the Georgia Invitational to kick off the season starting Friday and running through Sunday at the Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Tennis Center in Athens.
Anabelle Bares, ranked 65, and the Trojans will take on a couple of ranked opponents, such as Georgia's Kelley Hyndman, no. 45, and Mississippi State's Renee Joseph, no. 67. Georgia is ranked 5th in ITA Tennis rankings.
A four-team round-robin event, doubles action will begin daily at 9 a.m.. Troy will compete against Kansas State, Miss. State and host Georgia. There will be singles and doubles every day and with there being no team scores, all individual results will count toward Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.
