Trojans Split Over the Weekend

Troy (2-6) battled during the match but it was not enough as No. 70 UALR took the win. Troy has now played six ranked opponents this season and all of the losses this season have come against ranked opponents.
Freshman Bastian Maucher went the distance in his match as in the first set he fell 7-5 and in the second 7-6 (7-5). Sophomore Dusan Medan fell to Rain Roigas 7-5, 4-3 before being retired.
Troy newcomer Bona Ung forced a third set as he won the first, 7-6 before dropping the next two, 6-4, 6-2.
On Saturday, Troy defeated Texas-Arlington, 4-2 playing a singles only match.
Maucher's win over - Herrera, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 clinched the match for Troy. Also posting wins in the match were senior Irving Morales, Medan and Ung.
The men's tennis team will be back in action on Saturday, March 3 when it traveld to Boca Raton, Fla., to play FAU at 12 p.m.
