Trojans fall to Middle Tennessee to close out road schedule

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Troy Trojans fell to Middle Tennessee 3-0 (12-30, 23-30, 13-30) to close out the road portion of their 2007 schedule Saturday night.

Meghan Gilroy paced the Trojans with 10 kills, while Megan Henderson dished out 22 assists and eight digs to lead the way for Troy (15-16, 6-9 SBC).

Ashley Asberry led Middle Tennessee (28-2, 15-1 SBC), the East Division leaders, with 12 kills, while Ashley Adams posted a double-double with 10 kills and 18 digs.

Troy finds itself in eighth place overall in the Sun Belt Conference race for the tournament, one game behind North Texas and one game ahead of Arkansas State. The Trojans hosts Florida Atlantic (6-19, 3-12 SBC) and Florida International (15-7, 10-5 SBC) to close out the regular season this weekend at Trojan Arena.
