Troy falls to South Carolina at Auburn Fall Classic

Auburn, Ala. - The Troy University men's tennis team fell to the University of South Carolina in the second day of the Auburn Fall Classic.
Guilherme Sahadi picked up the lone win on the day for the Trojans when he defeated South Carolina's Jaime Cuellar in straight sets; 7-5, 6-4 in Flight A2 of singles competition. In other action in Flight A2, Johannes Pulsfort defeated the Trojans' Edwin van Aerts 6-1, 6-2. In Flight A1, Benjamin Chomette fell to South Carolina's Pedro Campos 7-6, 6-2; while teammate Bastain Maucher fell to Ivan Cressoni 6-3, 6-2. In the final flight (Flight B1), the Trojans' Diego Martinez fell to David Wolff 6-3, 6-2; while teammate Marko Zivkovic fell to Chris Sheehan 7-5, 6-1.
In doubles action, the team of Chomette and Maucher fell to South Carolina's Campos and Pulsfort, 8-4, in Flight A; while the team of Sahadi and Martinez fell to the South Carolina team of Stoddard and Wolf 8-6. In the final action of the day in doubles for Troy, the team of van Aerts and Zivkovic lost to South Carolina's Veeder and Sheehan, 8-6.
The tournament, the last of the fall for Troy, concludes on Sunday when the Trojans face Auburn University.
