Trojans season comes to an end

TROY, Ala. - The Troy Trojans saw their Sun Belt Conference Tournament hopes vanish when Arkansas State claimed a three-game victory over rival New Orleans Sunday afternoon.
Arkansas State's 30-25, 30-17, 30-23 victory over New Orleans sent the Indians to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament over Troy.
The Trojans (16-17, 7-9 SBC) finished the season in fourth place in the East Division and ninth overall in the Sun Belt Conference. They were led this season, offensively, by Meghan Gilroy with 346 totals kills, averaging 3.72 kills per game. Jean McCarthy connected for 344 kills for an average of 2.99 kills per game, while Aubre Smith added 327 total kills for an average of 2.72 per game.
Defensively, Emily Strader led the way with 394 digs for an average of 3.37 digs per game, while McCarthy added 343 digs (2.98 per game), Megan Henderson added 303 digs (2.68 per game) and Meghan Wahslow added 292 digs (2.39 per game). Henderson also led the team with 1125 assists (9.96 per game) as a freshman.
