Trojans Look Ahead to Series with Bulldogs

TROY, Ala. - The Troy University softball team will look to rebound from its loss to Georgia Southern when it travels to Birmingham, Ala., on Thursday for a doubleheader with Samford.
Troy (20-22) leads the series with Samford (9-24) 32-8. In 2005, when the two schools met, Samford won the first game, 1-0 and the Trojans took the second game, 2-0.
Against Georgia Southern, freshman Heidi Johnson and sophomore Caurie Miller were the highlights on offense. In game one, Johnson went three for four with one RBI. Miller went three for three in game two with the Eagles.
