With UCF already locking up the regular season title and the top seed in the tournament, the rest of the field is battling for the number two position. The Trojans (11-13, 10-7) are currently in a tie for third, one-half game behind second-place Georgia State.
Troy is one game ahead of FAU (11-13, 9-8 A-Sun), who is in a three-way tie for fifth in the league standings.
The Trojans are coming off a 71-50 win over UCF on Thursday. Valensia Hairston led Troy in that effort with 23 points and 12 rebounds, both career highs. Florida Atlantic is coming off a 55-45 home loss to Gardner-Webb on Feb. 19.
The Trojans and Owls met on Jan. 6 in Boca Raton, with FAU coming away with a 72-67 win over the Trojans. The Trojans shot 50.9 percent from the floor in that game, but 24 Troy turnovers helped the Owls come away with the win.
The game is one of just two remaining home games for Troy, with the Trojans hosting Georgia State in its regular-season finale on March 5.
