Trojans Hold onto Fifth at ULM/Fred Marx Invitational

MONROE, La. -- Troy fired a final-round 297 Tuesday to hold onto fifth place at the Hurricane Rita-delayed ULM/Fred Marx Invitational. The Trojans finished at 21-over 885, 17 strokes behind host Louisiana-Monroe.
Indian Daniel Keeton won medalist honors with a three-under 213.
Jake Brodhead led the Trojans with a three-over 219 (75-75-69). He tied for seventh after shooting a three-under 69 in the final round. Jay Harris tied for 13th at 221 (72-76-73), while Steve Sims tied for 40th at 228 (76-70-82).
Michael McGrady tied for 49th at 229 (80-73-76), while Keith Crowley tied for 53rd two shots back (231/80-73-76). Brandon Anthony finished 60th at 234 (73-79-79) in the play-six, count-four format.
Trojan Wes Parker, participating as an individual, tied for 28th at 224 (72-78-74).
Troy returns to action Oct. 16-18 at the Sonic/UTC Fall Classic.
