Strauss Advances to Regional Finals

ATHENS, Ga. - Troy University sophomore Claudia Strauss won twice on Saturday to move into the B” Flight finals of the ITA Southern Regional Tournament.

In the quarterfinals, Strauss defeated Lisa Nytrom Skold of Florida State, 6-2, 7-5. In her semifinal match, Strauss defeated Mississippi State's Renne Joseph, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5.

The win pits Strauss against Anna Yakimchenkovam from UCF. The finals match will be played at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
