Trojans Set to Face Providence

Providence, R.I. - The Troy University women's basketball team is set to face Big East opponent Providence Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Providence, R.I. The Trojans (2-5) are looking to snap a three-game losing streak, while the Friars (0-10) enter the contest looking for their first win of the season.
Troy is 1-4 on the road entering Thursday's game. The Trojans hold the same record in non-conference contests. * Gardner-Webb 7 p.m.
The Trojans have been led all season by freshman guard Amy Lewis. The Hamilton, Victoria, Australia native is averaging 13.4 points per game. Sophomore Audrey Muse and junior Alecia Jones each are averaging 10.3 points per game. Jones is the Trojans' leading rebounder, grabbing 7.0 rebounds per game. Senior point guard Kerri Fiehrer is averaging 5.7 assists per game.
The Trojans have struggled in the rebounding battle, as they have been outrebounded in every game this season. The Trojans are grabbing 35.3 rebounds per game, while Troy's opponents are pulling down 41.1.
